I studied at the William Allen White School of Journalism at The University of Kansas, where I worked as a copy editor, photojournalist and assistant Web editor for the University Daily Kansan and Kansan.com and a photographer for the Jayhawker yearbook. I followed my graduation with a stent as a Dow Jones News Fund copy editing intern and freelance copy editor at the Los Angeles Times.
For the past six years, I've been a copy editor and page designer for the Tyler Morning Telegraph in Tyler, Texas, for which I have been recognized three times by the Texas Associated Press Managing Editors.
Each week, I edit and design the front page as well as the business, education, travel and health and fitness sections and multiple inside pages.
While here, I've also written numerous stories and columns for the front page, as well as the travel, sports, entertainment, health and other features sections.
